The Sisterhood of Blood v2 Playing Cards

The Sisterhood of Blood Vol. II is a custom designed deck of poker sized playing cards printed by The Expert Playing Card Company (EPCC).

Volume two continues with the theme of London vampires from the Victorian era, and features an all female cast of court cards. Each of them have a unique story to tell, but together they become the Sisterhood of Blood.

Sink your teeth in!

For those that love horror or edgy style decks this will be a must have. While I have a few gripes they are small and the overall look of the cards is amazing. I love the artistry on the case outside AND inside. Cool scroll work and bright red color really stands out. One thing I feel is missing here is a little embossing, that really would set the case off.

As for the card fronts they have this old antique background with custom court cards and pips. Flat out dark and amazing to look at. The backs have the scroll work and design as the case, here is one other spot I would make one adjustment. The backs run the red all the way to the edge, I would prefer if the same antique white that was used for the fronts was used as a border here. worried that use of these cards will show after just a little handling with that red. And oin the note of handeling, somehting is just a bit off here, i dont know if its the lamenate that was used but they are just a bit sticky. they dont float like the decks im used to. might change after some breaking in though.

overall id say this is a great deck and i cant wait to see what version 3 brings if they decided to do one.

These cards are perfect for the vampire fan or the gothic card collector. One of the best inside tuck artworks I have seen that matches the theme of the deck to a tee.

Bloody good

This is a followup to Kirk Slater's original Sisterhood of Blood v1 released in 2016 on Kickstarter. He has improved in his art and the cards are full of clever little details. The blood and vampire theme are done well throughout the box and cards.

Do spend time looking through the courts for the little details like the suit on the court, the implements they carry compared to the original courts and the personality of each court. It entices the curious to find out more of the story behind some of these tragic figures. A companion book will be released in 2019 giving you the deeper story behind the sisters.

As it's printed by EPCC, the cards handle very well. Gameplay may be harder with these all female courts and the players may spend more time examining the courts than actually playing when they see this deck for the first time!
