Snap! Novelty "Exploding" Blue Bicycle Playing Cards

Though the deck is what you're probably already guessing and could be fabricated with a little thought, for the price a lot of thought has already been done and the prop comes pre-built. You will need to buy some bang caps as none are provided. I got a package for $2 at a convenience store and which is good for 216 performances (I just cut them off the rings they come attached to).
I must admit I was surprised at the routine that's demonstrated in the tutorial (online). Personally, I don't like it because it's rather drawn out and some magic expectations are built, only to end in a silly joke. I found a small fuse which I keep under the deck in my hand. After mixing the deck (yes, the deck can be somewhat shuffled) I ask the spectator to cut to a card, demonstrating by myself raising a portion which sets off the gimmick. I act as surprised as everyone and pretend to remove the fuse from it as I say, "Ah, blew a fuse!" I put all away and come out with a fresh deck. I ask them to raise a portion from it and enjoy how they hesitate in doing so, finding out all is fine once they're brave enough. It's a quick beginning prank that I play on myself and gets the audience woke and interested, and the reactions are hilarious.
It does what it says and has some nice additions to it, one being the cards of the gimmick part aren't glued together into a solid block and bevel naturally in the hand when held. It really does look and seem like a normal deck.
