Nice double deck

While this 2-deck set is well worth owning, the packaging and descriptions provided by Piatnik are mildly misleading. One of the decks features a card back design excerpt from Seurat's "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte," and the other deck features a different painting, "Bathers at Asnieres." This is actually quite clever, as the figures were painted to be situated on opposite sides of the river Seine. The box art features just the more well-known of the two paintings, but accurately depicts the card backs on the box bottom.

Card faces, jokers, court cards, feel and flex are all standard Piatnik, so if you have no interest in the Seurat paintings there may be nothing else here for the collector.
