Princess Bride Playing Cards Deck USPCC

These cards are great, they're made by Bicycle so the feel is USPCC but Bicycle is notorious for being extremely stiff when they're brand new, like trying to bend sheet metal with your fingers when you want to do a card spring. Bicycle is also known to have no special design factors on the tuck case, no embossing, no foil, no matte finish, just pictures on gloss paper. The back designs are great and the front designs are original and the face cards are hilarious. If you want to get these for poops and giggles then go ahead.

The Princess Bride is one of those timeless movies that you will always love, and this deck is no different, and pays tribute to the movie in a perfect way, just as you wish!

The art is so lovely, really captures the essence of the iconic characters. And the symbols are whimsical but elegant. A really successful combination of artistry and playability.

Art work on these is great . I love the swords added corresponding to go with main characters. Custom pip and indices are great and go with the deck excellently , entire deck is unique in every way. I feel this deck is more for a collector rather than a cardist or card magician. Good price for being a 100% custom deck.

This deck is a tribute to the classic comedy film, and the box artwork will be instantly familiar to anyone who has seen the movie cover. The card backs feature an ornate/lush design with gold and maroon, completed by some fencing swords, and the familiar black mask of our hero The Dread Pirate Roberts, aka farm-boy Westley.

The court cards all feature characters from the film, such as Westley, Princess Buttercup, Vizzini, and the giant Fezzik. Especially noteworthy is how key phrases and lines from the film accompany these characters, like Vizzini's oft-repeated "Inconceivable!". This adds instant charm and appeal for fans of the film. Two of my favourite cards are Miracle Max ("He's only mostly dead") and his wife ("I'm not a witch, I'm your wife!"). And who can forget the loveable Inigo Montoya, who makes an appearance with his famous line "Prepare to Die!"

The number cards are also absolutely exquisite. They have clear indices, and yet feature elaborate custom designs for the pips. They are further ornamented with various fencing swords along the length of the card, which adds to the visual appeal of fans and spreads.

This is truly a stunning deck, which shows wonderful attention to detail, and captures some of the magic of the film, while also providing charming customization on all the cards, to give the entire deck a very unique and unified feel. - BoardGameGeek reviewer EndersGame
