All kinds of parrots represented - the suit number has that number of birds on it. 3 of hearts has 3 of a certain kind of parrot etc.
My mom loves birds and has several parrots. She also loves to play cards, to this was a no-brainer gift. She had never seen anything like them before and was SO EXCITED to get these as a surprise gift. If you or someone you know loves parrots, these cards are high quality and beautiful!
FYI: The sticker that holds the cardboard box closed was very difficult to peel off without tearing the box. It also left a very sticky patch on the box.The color of the hearts and diamonds is a very dull red. It makes it difficult to differentiate from the black. The red color should be a little brighter and/or the size of the suite a little larger.
I collect playing cards and have thousands of decks. This is the first one that I own with a parrot motif. I guess I'll start by pointing out that the 'About this item' area of the product listing says it's a limited edition of 2,500 but in reality (and noted in the 'product description' lower on the page) this deck is a slightly less limited edition of 5,000. Many of the Bicycle collector edition decks *are* limited to 2,500 so this is obviously a typo. No big deal.Like all Bicycle cards, they're well made and great to play with. This deck uses their 'classic stock' which is easier to shuffle, deal, play with, etc. right out of the box than their slicker, more rigid 'casino' cards. Unlike many decks, there's no wear in period necessary. The parrot theme might not be everyone's preference but the artwork is very well done with vivid colors and great representations of the birds. Typical Bicycle quality and a unique theme. Highly recommended!
These are great! Lovely colors, lots of creepycute little bird eyes... I especially like the pips blended into the backgrounds, and the jokers' little hats. <3
And now that I'm back here, I can correct the misprinted info card, so that's that sorted!
