2023 Release
As expected, these are the same wonderful quality we've all come to appreciate from Bicycle playing cards. The level of detail and care always makes playing with them engaging and special and these are no exception.I appreciate the Nutcracker theme with these and think children especially, or younger dancers will enjoy the designs of these. The extra surprise King of Spades is a fun addition. These are lovely.
I absolutely LOVE these cards. These are a must have for nutracker fans!
I have a question, why does this card have two kings of spades? Still a different model. I really like collecting bicycle playing cards. I don’t think either of these patterns are too beautiful, but they are indeed special enough, but the price is a bit high. But it's still of very good quality and perfect for working magic. It also comes with a point-free prop card and two spades K, which can perform unexpected magic effects.
A very nice set of bicycle cards, perfect to add to the game night collection. I like the designs on the cards and the quality is up to par with other bicycle cards. However, the set is more expensive than the typical cost of themed bicycle decks. Other than that, I do like the product.
I am reviewing the Nutcracker Ballet Inspired Bicycle Playing Cards - Red and Green 2 Deck Set with Exclusive Art - Ideal Nutcracker Gifts for Dancers and Collectors. Both decks come sealed, and I love that the sticker has a present graphic to fit with the theming. The quality of the cards themselves is nice and up to usual USPCC standards. They're lightweight and easy to handle.I find some of the theming on point (or perhaps I should say on pointe), and the other half baffling. I like little touches like making the pips ornaments. The Jokers are both Nutcrackers, one with the damaged arm and the other in perfect condition. There's a spare blank and an extra King of Spades with an extra-cool Rat King. (Or Mouse King, if you prefer.)All of the face cards are different characters, but some are more identifiable than others. The Nutcracker, the Prince, Clara/Marie, Drosselmeyer, and Fritz are all super easy. Others less so. The Queen of Spades has wings, but nothing else about her strikes me as Sugar Plum Fairy-like. But surely that's who she's supposed to be? And none of them really look like Dewdrop/Flower Queen to me. I know she's not in every production, but she feels like one of the most recognizable characters. As a Nutcracker lover, I feel like the theming could have been stronger. But the cards themselves are nice, and the art is beautiful.
