Les Melies Conquests White Playing Cards

The latest edition of the Les Méliés series of playing cards by Derek Mckee and Michael Blau pays tribute to the iconic film, A Trip to The Moon, directed by the French filmographer and magician George Méliés. While the deck features the same intricately designed back, the Les Méliés Eclipse edition includes an updated tuck box. Most importantly, this deck encapsulates many secrets and features that will enable you to captivate your audience and push the boundaries of their imaginations. We encourage you to discover the special features on your own.

To the Moon!

These are a great deck for any fan of cinema or sci-fi, a fitting tribute to a great work of art. They are plain-sight-marked and come with a reversed card in the pack along with two gaff cards. The Conquests handle exactly as you would expect from a USPCC printed deck (think Bicycles, but more stylized), and are a lot of fun for tricks.

The marks make it worthless for honest play, but these are great for almost anything else. Glad I got them.

Fly me to the moon!

Here's an interesting deck with nice artwork on the back, featuring a full moon design. The backs appear to be symmetrical but apparently (from what I have read) they are actually marked, although I personally can't find any secrets hidden in this deck. There is an interesting joker design which is done all in blue outline. The joker is two strange "warrior parrot" type creatures holding spears, standing back to back. Both jokers are full sized and exactly the same, except that one of these jokers has no other writing on it besides the word "JOKER" in opposite corners, and the other has underneath the picture the text "Pure Imagination Projects Las Vegas NV 42734". The ace of spades contains a moon and planet inside the spade and says the words "Les Melies" above the center spade pip, and below the pip the words "Eclipse Edition Pure Imagination Projects". Also included with this deck are one blank card and one double backer card. Aside from the jokers, the back design, and the ace of spades, these cards are the exact same colors and design that you would get in any standard Bicycle deck. I love the backs and the jokers enough to have purchased two of these decks, but I felt that so much more could have been done with this theme, and to not have any custom artwork done anywhere else on the deck was a bit of a let down. Four stars from me instead of five for the artist not continuing the theme and really developing this deck into a complete work of art.

Great Tribute Deck

These cards feel and handle great. The artwork is perfect and not a lot of crazy customizations that make it hard them hard to read while playing cards or just admiring watching them fly across the room while you try to learn one-handed shuffles.
