Knights Red Playing Cards USPCC
Knights Red Playing Cards
The subtlest and most complex piece on the chessboard, the knight has fascinated players with its leaps and sidesteps since the game was first created. Now designers Daniel Madison and Chris Ramsay and artist Oban Jones have sought to capture the piece’s essence in this exquisite deck printed by the United States Playing Card Company.
The custom joker commemorates the drama of a checkmate, a crow already moving in on the king’s fallen “body.” The tuck box is gold foil on a matte finish.
A must-have for chess lovers and card lovers alike!
I have this deck sitting next to my chess set for added effect. The red looks great, and the tuck case is very elegant. The court illustrations are clever too. Every time I look at these cards I think of all the great Soviet chess players that would have liked to own them.
Love the cards, they have an amazing metallic red color to them and the red pips have a thin black line around them that makes them pop with a luster that is unseen before. Also, these cards are MARKED. I won't tell you how they are marked but the red knights are the only ones that are marked not just for the value of the cards, but also for the suit. The other colors of Knights are only marked for the value of the cards so that you can organize them in order. Amazing! definitely will buy these again. Thanks to Chris and Daniel, my two favorite magicians.
I love this deck. The gold foil on the inside of the tuck case is a super nice touch. The marking system is a little hard to see from far away, but it is not a feature that I really use. These cards handle really well, they are one of the thinnest USPCC decks that I own. I love that the red ink on the back design is metallic. I think that the ace of spades and jokers look really good. This is just an all-around solid deck. I think these cards could be used for cardistry, magic or game play. The red version is the only current version that is printed by the United States Playing Card Company, which I personally prefer to Cartamundi. This is great addition to anyone’s card collection.
When you have Daniel Madison and Chris Ramsay partnering on a deck it's probably going to turn out amazing. It's a great marked deck.
Perfect amount of custom but not so over the top for those of you that like subtle. They fan and feel great in the hand, the case stands out with this nice clean look without being over the top. I have a preference to edgy skull or devil themed decks but I really love the subtlety here for some reason. The best I can put it is just classy custom. Favorite deck from Ellusionist so far!
