These cards are absolutely stunning! No detail was missed, the foiling is amazing and the cards are totally usable. a lot of "themed" playing cards are petty much unplayable because it's hard to tell suit etc; that is not the case here. These are the best themed cards I have ever bought! I highly recommend them!!
My daughter is 26 and loves the books and the movies.. she and her husband have game nights with their friends. She is so excited to bring her new potter decks to game night and show them off!
If you are a Potter fan, this deck is a must! This deck is what got me into collecting. I bought all four houses. The artwork and detail is unmatched. The ace of spades is arguably the best ace of spades ever made. I could not be more impressed. The jokers are perfect and I love the royalty. If I had one critique on this deck, it's that the only difference between decks is that the tuck cases are different colors. I don't mind that the cards don't differ, but it would have been really nice if each tuck case could have had their own design unique to their specific house.
I should have bought a pair of these decks a lot sooner. The "relic" effect is great for using the decks in thematic magic tricks. The aging is not uniform on the faces -- which when viewed face up helps create the illusion of age. The backs are identical on all the cards, of course! The full bleed back design makes for a pretty fan. The backs also have a subtle one way design, good for magic.
I love the aging of the court cards. My only wish is that they would have used the older courts (with the one way court cards in spades). The contemporary USPCC standard courts diminishes the "vintage" feel.
I bought two decks to get two pairs of identical jokers. Plus duplicates of court cards can make a pretty aged 3-card monte.
Decks come with a double backer. Perfect.
