Dedalo Alpha Playing Cards

The Minotaur Asterion, the dark hero Theseus, the beautiful Ariadne and, of course, Dedalo, the genius: he built the Labyrinth, the main location of the story. The deck is highly detailed, full of hidden meanings, and with accurate references to Mythology.

Dedalo Alpha shows the part of the story when the Minotaur and Theseus haven't yet fought, Ariadne is going to help Theseus with her red thread, and Icarus and King Aegeus are still alive.

Such an amazing deck (and set as well). The Greek Mythology theme is very interesting along with the intricate detail of the courts and every card. Highly recommend.

Recommended for lovers of ancient mythology.

The Dedalo series is retells the ancient stories of Greek mythology. There are three different decks in the Dedalo series: Dedalo Alpha: the past of Dedalo world; Dedalo Apeiron: the future; Dedalo Omega: the story of Infinity. The series tells the famous story of beautiful Ariadne, the dark hero Theseus, the Minotaur Asterion, Minos and Dedalo (which is an Italian synonym of "Labyrinth"). The genius Dedalo built the Labyrinth, which is the main location of the story. Most people will have heard of Icarus, one of the two sons of Dedalo (Daedalus), who flew towards the sun with wings that eventually melted.

Dedalo Alpha and Dedalo Omega tells the past and the future of this same story: In Dedalo Alpha, the Minotaur and Theseus haven’t yet fought, Ariadne goes to help Theseus with her red thread, and Icarus and King Aegeus are alive. All the same ranked court cards featuring the same character - but with variations in the artwork that reflect these past and future aspects. For example, Theseus, who is the Jack of Hearts character, is worried before his fight with Minotaur in Dedalo Alpha, but is victorious and arrogant in Dedalo Omega. The gods are also different in each Dedalo Deck. Dedalo Alpha features Hermes, Aphrodite, Poseidon, and Apollo.

It's a lovely deck that fans of ancient mythology will enjoy. - BoardGameGeek reviewer EndersGame
