This deck of playing cards was created based on the work of the famous artist, Hans Holbein the Younger, "Dance of Death", 1524-1526.

I hope you can tell from this artwork how much passion and dedication I have for the project. Each card takes many, many hours to draw. It's a great pleasure to bring you these cards, which I think takes my art to a whole new level. 

We used the style, "landscape and genre scenes." This style of work was popular in the XVI century. One of the famous artists and the founder of the time was Peter Bruegel the Elder.

Time to dance!

If you really appreciate the artwork some people put into decks you'll love this deck. I wish though as much time was put into the cards themselves. not sure if its the stock or laminate but they are pretty sticky right out of the box. I much prefer that air cushioned finish that most card companies use. Cool for the look not for performance IMO.

Not your standard deck of cards but fun overall

This was a 2019 Kickstarter release. It is part 1 of a larger 3 part polyptych series. Polyptych is where the individual cards form a larger series. Completely handdrawn and based on 2 historical artistic influence, this is not your normal decks of cards!

The courts, aces and jokers combine to form 1 big picture in the style of Peter Bruegel the Elder. Individually the courts and jokers each have an encounter with death in Hans Holbein's Dance with Death series, hence the title.

Great if you like the art style. Handling, it's printed with Cartamundi, so you know what you're getting. The other 2 decks were also funded together via Kickstarter in 2019 with the release date planned for Oct 2019 at this point of writing.
