Censored Bicycle Playing Cards
An October 2018 Pip Box Club Selection - For more information on joining Pip Box Club click here.
Bicycle Censored Playing Cards, originally known as FCKYRBRND Playing Cards, was designed for those who want something more unique and different from other playing cards on the market.
Printed by the USPCC using their premium stock, the deck also includes an entire custom design, including the court cards, Jokers, and the Ace of Spades. This deck is a Limited Edition release, so once they're gone - they're gone.
"Too many decks follow the same basic concepts these days. There isn't too much originality in playing card design. So, I set out to break that pattern and design something original."
- Joey Minor
2018 Release
These will have your friends wondering what's so censored about this deck and so will you. The performance on these are absolutely stunning. Super soft and ready from the box, they feel already broken in.
This deck immediately begins toying with our minds: is it naughty, and has something really been censored?
Designer Joey Minor originally had another name for this deck which sounded a little more obscene. His aim is to be unconventional. The box introduces us to funky little creatures that inhabit this deck; these little critters may have unusual colours and looks, but actually they're rather charming. The card back features a college of these monsters in a mirrored two-way design.
The face cards are relatively standard with some pleasant exceptions. Firstly, the court cards all feature a single rectangular panel jam packed with critters of the same style and colour. The Ace of Spades has massive pip that incorporates the deck's back design, but besides this, the number cards are standard.
Overall this deck has enough standard elements to prevent it seeming too wacky. It should appeal to people who are drawn to the colourful and energetic design, especially the card backs.
