Black Roses Playing Cards HCPC

Hanson Chien's cards have always been superior to USPCC and this deck is no exception. Unlike USPCC, Hanson Chien decks aren't subject to print registration errors and bad centering, and the edges are cut with a special process that leaves them smooth, unlike USPCC's which feel like sandpaper in comparison. Lastly the card stock is WAY superior. Vintage stock with Legendary finish. These cards will feel significantly better than a USPCC deck, but they may not fan as smoothly. That's the one and only way in which USPCC is better than other decks, but by every other yard stick, Hanson Chien wins.

The Hanson Chien reprint of the classis Black Roses deck by Daniel Schneider is quite remarkable. HCPC is not a bad printer and the cards feel good out of the box. Some people will easily notice differences between printers, and there are some marked differences, but I can say that they handle well. Overall, a great reprint, especially as I like the elegance of the Black Roses series in general.
