"Take what you want!"

Betrayers is a series of playing cards by Thirdway Industries, designed by the Italian designer, Giovanni Meroni.

Betrayers Lucis Playing Cards is inspired by the fierce warriors who betray in plain sight. Treason is not always sneaky: some people turn their coat blatantly. These kinds of Betrayers are the scariest because they are aggressive, reckless and violent.

  • Include 3 Jokers
  • Include a double back
  • Tuckbox by USPCC

Tenebra Details:

"Trust no one."

Betrayers is a series of playing cards by Thirdway Industries, designed by the Italian designer, Giovanni Meroni.

Betrayers Tenebra Playing Cards is insprired by the ones who conspire in the darkness. Not all of them are cowards - some are just strategists who wait for the right time to strike. These kinds of Betrayers are the most dangerous since they don't seem like a threat - until is too late.

Features:

  • USPCC Stock for Cards
  • 100% custom faces, back and box
  • Include 3 Jokers
  • Include a double back
  • Tuckbox by USPCC

Veritas Details:

LIMITED EDITION: Only a certain number will be printed! Will NOT be reprinted.

"I am a liar - that's the truth."

Betrayers is a series of playing cards by Thirdway Industries, designed by the Italian designer, Giovanni Meroni.

Betrayers Veritas Playing Cards is the last, crazy deck of the Betrayers series, and represents the pure essence of betrayal.

Suits are inverted: Hearts and Diamonds are blue, and Spades and Clubs are red. This will make your game night more complicated - but also more fun!

The back is one way - check it closely. Once you know this, you can use this deck for effects... or just to cheat.

The Courts of Betrayers Veritas are completely different from those of Lucis, Tenebra and Invictus. And they're two-faced! Also, every Court tells a story.

Warning - This deck is a true betrayer: suits have inverted colors and it will be purposely difficult to play with.

Features:

  • Betrayers inverted suits
  • Betrayer subtle one way back
  • Two ways, crazy courts - completely redesigned
  • Every court tells a story
  • Betrayal limited edition deck
  • Perfect for magic and cardistry
  • Purposely difficult to play with

Veritas is a mixed bag

Regarding the Veritas deck (I don't have any of the others, but I'm sure they make an interesting set):
Positive notes: design and artwork are top-notch, with entertaining court cards featuring fun changes each way. Excellent feel and finish. Imaginative joker design.
Negative notes: reversed suit coloring (spades and clubs are red, diamonds and hearts are grey/black) is pretty annoying for many of the things for which playing cards are designed. On box, card back and court card printing, the subtle design differences and details between grey, dark grey and black are nearly impossible to distinguish. This reduces the charm of the artwork considerably, especially on the tuck box.

As with all decks from thirdway industries, the art here is spectacular and teases curiosity about each character in the story the deck tells. The tuck is nice but not as fancy as other decks from the same designer. Handles like a nice deck of bicycles.
