Faro Vintage Gilded Playing Cards USPCC
Faro Vintage Gilded Playing Cards
Sold as a set and individually
These reproduction decks are based off the Squared Faro #366 which was first produced by Russell & Morgan Co. in 1887 to supply gambling casinos. Faro was the most popular gambling game at that time.
It has been digitally recreated to accurately represent the artwork on the deck but on a modern USPCC printed deck with rounded corners.
The court cards are full-length figures which contain many of the idiosyncratic features associated with designs re-copied from the woodblock era.
These decks would be a great practical prop for any themed wild west parties or to use in gambling magic routines.
The blue decks are gilded silver and the red decks are gilded gold. Please note gilding can wear off with heavy use.

I read cards. I find this deck ideally suited for cartomancy, for two reasons: the lack of indices make me focus entirely on the suit symbols, and the crazy court cards really stand out when I’ve a few cards on the table. It might not work for some, but this is my perfect deck for divination. I’ll treasure it.
I guess I'm a sucker for antiquity. I love the reproduction and simple feel of the tuck and cards themselves. I also love the minimalism of the index-less face cards. This all said, I will probably reserve these for gimmick nights on my blackjack or poker tables as I can imagine someone getting flustered by having to count pips. Side note, I have zero idea why some decks used/use the goofy court cards. I don't hate them, but...I don't like them either.
Nice reproduction deck but a little pricey. The tuck box is printed with gold metallic ink. The playing cards feature a full bleed design on the back, with a snowflake design. Limited production of 500 so get them while they last.
This deck minds me of the old decks my elderly relatives used to have lying around since the '40s. This decks takes you back in time. The lack of value labels is a great touch, especially for enthusiasts that don't need the numbers to know what card they are looking at.
