The 4 suits of this deck symbolize 4 long time battling kingdoms.

Each suit is an entire world of kings, queens, warriors, and legends. This deck of cards is filled with unique natures, heroic deeds, stories, and culture. The Illustrations of this new deck expresses four unique worlds through color and rhythm.

Spades

The Spades depict ancient African culture. The primeval world of astonishing contrasts. There is scorching sunlight which is replaced by the cold scintillation of stars. And the absolute silence of the night is disturbed by a drum rhythm near a ritual fire burning in a boundless desert. The ancient tribal traditions carried through thousands of years live here. The harmony of human and nature give the culture force but sometimes the lines can blur between hunter and prey. Natural instincts will help these people survive with outside forces.

Diamonds

The Diamonds is a fairy tale Japan. It is the country where the sun rises and wind plays in the tree branches. Simplicity penetrates everyday life here. The air is cut by a katana and is filled with a smell of sakura with birds singing in its branches. It is the world of brave samurais, enigmatic geishas who tap their getas and mythic dragons that guard gods’ houses far away in the mountains.

Clubs

The Clubs embody a medieval culture of Europe. Dark times when legends were written in castles by candle light. Brave knights winning hearts of fair ladies and performing feats, monsters living far away at the end of the world, and magical animals with luminous horns bestowing eternal life fill these legends.

Hearts

Spicy and colorful India is represented by the Hearts. The stories about charming princesses and brave warriors are told by a sensual dance of graceful interlacing hands. A fragile lotus and a majestic anise-tree, vaporous silk and shining marble palace walls are singing about love, that is beyond time and distance. Any day can become a celebration if it is spiced with flowers, music, and songs.

Blue gilding is quite striking

I have already left a review of the Black and Gold gilded deck, so not much changes in my review with regards to the custom artwork on each card. I love each individual piece depicting each of the four kingdoms. The blue gilding was quite a surprise to receive, as I actually got this one from a mystery deck purchase during the holidays. I don't always love gilding, and it actually is being quite overused as of late, but this particular deck was a fun exception. The blue provides a great difference from the standard gilding.

Beautiful Gilding

First off, the blue gilding really pops and stands out to the point where i'm a little afraid of damaging the gilding. I know gilded decks are not meant to be used heavily unless you don't mind wearing our the gilding, but the cards themselves are also beautiful. Each suit has a different cultural theme. This diversity sets it apart from other decks. These themes are very distinct and definitely add to the flair of this deck. If you want a more practical deck, go with the one that's not gilded, but keep in mind that this deck is definitely focused on collectors.

Gorgeous deck!

Blue is one of my favorite colors, and I love the history and culture shared in the 5th Kingdom cards! Very nice gilded deck with shiny blue edges! Just be sure to take the time to separate the “sticking” prior to using.

Great Gilded Deck

The 5th Kingdom Blue Gilded Playing Cards is another great gilded version of the 5th kingdom deck with an interesting blue edge color.
