ARW v1 Playing Cards

Luke Wadey's new collection takes inspiration from street signage and Swiss graphic design to create decks that are truly original in their approach and execution. Focusing on direction, the first deck, V1, is fully custom including all the pips being made from arrows, monotone Court cards and unique Jokers.

Bold in it's simplicity and modern approach, the use of black, white and red colors on custom card card faces combined with all the little details within the deck, from the arrow pips weaved in to the court cards, to the directional arrows on the tuck are a great example of taking a concept and applying it successfully throughout the whole design. Even a single small arrow pointing the opposite direction on the card back is there to symbolize having the courage to be different and choosing your own path.

As well as feeling fantastic, the deck cutting registration has been produced perfectly, a wonderful match to the precision of the design.

- Manufactured by USPCC, limited to less than 2500 decks, one time print run

- Crushed, premium bee stock with air cushion finish

- Fully custom 56 card deck, including a double backer card, gaff card and two different Jokers

With a one way back design, this deck is one better suited for cardists and collectors, but is sure to stand out in any collection, taking you on a new and exciting path.

Choose your path. Choose ARW.

Unique deck of cards

Honestly, I would have given it a 3.5 due to one of the cards being a misprint (10 of hearts has arrows up instead of down). Other than that I would have given it a solid 4. I do like the uniqueness of the deck. The cards has a unique take on suits by using angles and arrows instead of the traditional pictures of the suits we all know. Court cards are recognizable but integrate the suits within their respective court cards. The cards handle well, but I gave it 4 stars because it's not really practical for anything other than collecting. Definitely could get confusing for gameplay or magic (although it comes with a double backer and a gaff card). There is too much going on that it would be pretty poor for cardistry as well. But I do commend Luke Wadey for its unique design.

Just alright

Not my favorite deck but not the worst either. Wish that they would have made the back design two way instead of the one way design.
