Tulip Playing Cards USPCC

Tulip Playing Cards

Available in 3 colors, not sold as a set

The team from the Dutch Card House Company is back with a brand-new design, Tulip Playing Cards. This deck is a tribute to the beautiful Dutch tulips and the famous delft blue pottery. Three luxury decks have been designed -- a light blue deck, a dark blue deck, and a vivid borderless orange deck. (Orange is the color of the Dutch Royal Family, which hails from the House of Orange).

These decks complement each other perfectly. Tulip Playing Cards features custom Aces, gorgeous card backs and standard Court cards enhanced to fit the overall theme and color of the deck. Also, the updated font used for the indices were inspired by an old Dutch writing style.

The deck contains 4 Jokers and is designed with the famous Dutch historical architecture in mind, but yet totally in line with the delft blue color scheme and an orange color scheme for the orange deck. The Jokers showcase the artwork of the Amsterdam canal houses and the renowned Dutch mills.

The deck is kept secure in a luxurious tuck box with a matte finish and embossing.

Like all previous decks by the Dutch Card House Company, Tulip Playing Cards will be printed on the Crushed, traditionally cut, Bicycle grade stock by the USPCC.

Dark blue Tulip deck

This deck has a truly Dutch touch, and although the orange is popularly identified with the Netherlands, I opted for the Dark Blue deck, since it has the blue/white "Delft" design commonly seen on Dutch pottery. The tuck box is embossed on the front only, and while the design is nice, a custom seal would have been nice. I especially love the ornate designs on the cards, with the traditional blue-white style, which is applied to the faces and backs of the cards.
