Don't Kill the Messenger Playing Cards

The Conquest of Khwarezmian Empire (1219) was the begin of PAX MONGOLICA as this event somewhat paved road for recognition of Diplomatic Immunity in the world. After execution and robbing merchants and messengers from Mongol Empire by Inalchuk (Kaiyr Khan), Governor of Otrar in 1218, Genghis Khan sent two Mongol messengers with an Arabian to Khwarezmian Shah demanding to give back goods of merchants and handling him Inalchuk. History with the first envoy repeated by the humiliation of two messengers by shaving their heads and beards and killing Arabian translator. The punishment followed and executed by harshly and fiercely. Next year Genghis headed invasion of 150 thousand army to Khwarezmian Empire. Mongols caught Inalchuk in 1219, and they told him that “You were greedy and eager for goodies and treasures. So you can enjoy it in full now”. Then they poured melted silver on his eyelids, nostrils, and mouth. It happened exactly 800 years ago. It was a lesson, which is impossible to be forgotten.

Great looking tuck on the Don’t Kill the Messenger Playing Card printed by the NPCC. The numbered seal looks great too. Could have a better feel in the hand but it is alright.
