Marchen Playing Cards LPCC

The twin decks of this set are top-notch. The tuck cases, the court cards, the fine details, the lore, just every little thing about these are great. This is what I hope for in card decks - well-executed in concept and completion, as well as being original, without being overdone.

You just can't go wrong with a 𝖓𝖎𝖈𝖔𝖑𝖆𝖎 𝖆𝖆𝖗𝖔𝖊 deck of playing cards. These might not have the same dramatic artwork as other decks of his but they are quite eloquent and beautiful. The reviewer below knocks it out of the park though so if you need more encouragement to buy these right now, go read that one as well.

I have both decks, one tuck box is a moss green colour, the other is a gorgeous cream; each with a numbered seal and full interior printing. The Schwarzwald card backs are dark brown, the Hamelin ones are red and gold. Both decks have the same court cards, each representing a different character from German legends, but the Jokers in the two decks are different. This deck is beautiful inside and out, and the use of metallic ink on the tuck boxes and the cards produces a look of sophistication and style, appropriate given the high quality artwork, design, and love that has been poured into these decks.
