Musical (update)

Since I last reviewed them, these cards have aged very poorly. And that's very significant, seeing as how I've barely used them for a few hours. I figured it was worth putting more info about it since I rated it very highly last time. THESE CARDS FEEL NASTY. The black and blue editions of the treble clef deck are printed by JJPC on some weird stock that feels good for about an hour and then, as another review says, feels like plastic (in a bad way). If you want a treble clef deck, pick up the ones printed by EPCC if you can.

Back design is still cool tho

not a big fan

I have both the marked and unmarked versions. Not a fan of the card stock (feels plastic). The overall feel of the cards are cheep feeling and down handle well. The marking system is ok but not sure why they didn't use CHSD order for the suits. Probably my least favorite deck I have bought from this site.

The back design of this deck is simply wonderful, and is great to use if you have cards around musician friends. Compared to the blue v2 version of this deck, the court cards are very plain and look like they've been drawn in Microsoft Paint, but again, the selling point of this deck is the back design and reasonable price. The finish/emboss is basically the USPCC air cushion finish, though the manufacturer of this deck uses a different stock: thin but sturdy. I can't tell if this has a modern or traditional cut, since it can faro well both ways. Overall a great deck for the price, especially if you love music.
