Dapper Deck Marked Playing Cards

Not sold as a set, available in 2 colors.

When Vanishing Inc. Magic set out to design its first deck of signature brand playing cards, they had one specific goal in mind: to create the most fashion-forward, subtle, and sophisticated "look" for a deck of cards yet devised. The result is the Dapper Deck, which is an attractive deck of cards crafted from the finest stock and finish. They are gorgeous and subtle, and appropriate for formal performances. Many decks are designed to be kept in the plastic, collected, and displayed. This deck was designed to be used.

This new version, printed by the United States Playing Card Company, offers a host of new features:

  • Printed on USPCC's crushed stock for superior handling and durability.
  • A new box with extruded accents. When you remove the deck, you'll see that the Dapper design fills the inside of the box too!
  • A new custom seal. Designed especially for Vanishing Inc. decks, this seal looks gorgeous.
  • Fully marked. Each deck conceals a devious marking system so that you can perform incredible magic effects.

Each deck comes with two Jokers, a blank-faced card and a double-backed card.

Marking Card

I agree with Frank Cannella that there should always be a "Key Card.

Nice Deck but no information

There should always be a "Key Card" explaining the marking system sold with a deck of marked cards. Time passes, and You set the deck aside you soon You will forget the marking system.

Another thing I don't like, is when the seller say, "The information" is at a web page. Web Pages come and go~! Thus, without a Deck Key, in time, you may soon wind up with and useless Marked deck when the Web Page vanishes. I have found that if the deck comes Without a "Key Card" explaining the markings, don't buy the product.

Who wants to play Hide and Go Seek for information?
There are too many types of markings, and you can't remember them all............... Most College graduates can't count change or tie their own shoes, and don't know Up from Down. No worry about anyone reading a marked card. Most have trouble reading a Stop Sign.............

Dapper Disappointed

First, let's get it out of the way that this is a beautiful deck. It fans and handles really well. If you like nicely designed cards, get this. However, I needed a marked deck that would be easy to read. Going by the reviews (here and other places), I thought this would be my go to marked deck. Alas, it will only sit on my collection shelf. Sure, the markings are super easy to read...if you are really close to the card. And even then you might not be sure if it is an 8 or a 3, if your eyesight isn't 20/20. So my search continues for a beautiful marked deck that I can utilize. Sigh.

awesome deck!

This deck is amazing. The team at vanishing definitely had magicians in mind when creating this deck. But who would be surprised considering it's Joshua Jay and Andi Gladwin at the helm. The handles great, since they switched to industry standard in USPCC. The cards have a very intricate yet beautiful design. The marking system is awesome as it's specifically a reader back. To the reviewer that stated that he could not find the marking, you could definitely try the "going to the movies" or riffle shuffle trick to see if you can find it. I've found out markings on decks I never knew had markings. But if you still can't find it, check the right. Anyways, awesome deck!
