Aureo Bicycle Playing Cards

In the early 1500s Leonardo Da Vinci illustrated "La Divina" (The Divine Proportion) a book written by mathematician Luca Pacioli that described a mathematical theory called "The Golden Ratio" which was used in Renaissance paintings and sculptures to achieve balance and beauty. Da Vinci later called this sectio aurea or the Golden section. The gold foil and swirl designs on the tuck bring the Golden ratio to life in this unique deck of cards.

Great Deck!

Very nice look and feel from these cards. The back design is a bit much, but I still like it. I mostly bought it for the great tuck case anyway :)

Classic with a twist!

I like how this deck feels like a classic bicycle deck, but with a classy, elegant twist. It's a great price too!

does not live up to tuck case

For the price... good cards, but there are so many others that are simply nicer. The back of the card falls flat in comparison to the tuck case. All this does not really matter as I bought the deck strictly for the jokers, which are BEYOND cool. Handles very well

Good elements but left me wanting more

This deck has an amazing tuck case and back that make for a very classy look. However, the rest of the cards are fairly standard and left me wanting more. There could have been a font that was better suited to the design; the one used just looks like a thicker version of the standard one. The courts are mostly standard, but with different lines and a sort of ivory-buff colorway. I liked that the courts had no square border. The highlight of the deck is the jokers, with a borderless full-card black and white print of da Vinci with the golden section superimposed. These are very striking - would have preferred something similar with courts.
Cardstock is standard USPCC air-cushioned finish on thin stock, as in the Rider Back.
