Nice design & feel

I have the copper Grinders deck. Exemplary feel, beautiful tuck box, interesting court cards and cool jokers. Very worthy addition to the collection.

Great Randy Butterfield design for the card player

The Grinders decks immediately capture your immediate attention with tuck boxes that look both gritty as well as classy. These decks are designed to capture the feel of a grinder, who is a professional casino worker. As such, designer Randy Butterfield's aim was to make them feel workmanlike, but while retaining some elements of grandeur and opulence. You can get the feel of this deck by picturing a classy looking worker in a tuxedo, working at the tables in a casino! The card backs have an intricate design with subtle references to casino games like Poker and Roulette (notice the circular design!).

Due to the aim of making this a very functional deck, that doesn't depart too far from the ordinary, the face cards are fairly standard in appearance. While the court cards have a classical design - perhaps one of the more "traditional" we've seen from Randy so far! - they still feature some beautiful artwork. The Jokers are particularly special and noteworthy; these illustrate a poker player about to play his cards, while one of them has a Queen of Hearts reveal, which magicians will especially appreciate and find useful.

A good deck to Grind it out

Every time I hear the name of this deck, it takes me back to The Rounders movie. Grinding it out. Playing long sets of poker to pay your way through. Nice tuck design. Decent decks for the price.

Accessory for binge-watching poker tournaments

The tuck cases are fancy, with all the metallic/ embossing/cool design bits, and quite detailed. I don't know if I like the blue or the copper better. Each deck seems best until you look at the other. The face cards are great, the back design is nice, the quality is fantastic. Best prices here, even when not on sale. Glad I got these.
