Sirocco Weathered Playing Cards

We’ve teamed up with author, illustrator, and brand designer Nathan Oser, who spent six months off the grid drawing inspiration from his own slice of coastal life, to create for you a deck that’s built on a dream and that started with a few burning questions: Why make a deck? To inspire. Inspire who? Anyone on a journey.

Imagine celebrities and movie stars at their European vacation villas. It seems like they’ve got it all. What deck of playing cards might a person like that bring to entertain guests on lakeside sojourns, to show off at sailing competitions, or to pass time on private cruises along the sun-kissed coast?

And how did those stars get to where they are? Well, sometimes the wind blows in your favor, sometimes it blows against, but either way it forces you to react in a way the can propel you toward, and even beyond, your goals. This idea was the Start/Finish Line for Sirocco.

The artwork of Sirocco is informed by classical themes and a Mediterranean aesthetic, but rendered in contemporary monoline style, which makes it all the more timeless and unforgettable.

Worth it for the tuck.

This is one of the only decks I keep in one of the plastic protector boxes. Really lovely texture to the tuck box, as the other reviews have said. Really lovely hand feel to hold the entire thing in hand.

The texture is the real MVP here

As with all of my decks, I aim for the art style that I like and the beauty that comes from that art being displayed during game play. For this particular deck, the texture of the tuck is the real focal point for me. The weathered look holds something of a je ne sais quoi for me and, while not tactile textured, the artwork on the faces has a great visual texture to them.

Nice Deck with Underrepresented Art Style

There aren't enough decks that do a good job representing coastal or tropical themes in their artwork without becoming tacky (or mildly racist, occasionally). These cards are an exception, with a clean, authentic feel to them. The weathering on the tuck box is also quite realistic-feeling and looking, making it stand out in a good way in my collection.

Really like the tuck

The tuck on this deck is really nice. Great design and feel. The cards are very nice with their art work. Color is a bit light but not too much so.
